Clinical Features

  • septic shock: hypotension, hypoxia, dyspnea, fever, tachycardia
  • organ specific dysfunction: encephalopathy, coagulopathy, renal failure, CHF

Evaluation

Management

  • treat for sepsis
  • consider Tocilizumab (IL-6 receptor antagonist)
  • corticosteroids for severe cases

Disposition

  • admit
