Background

  • Clinical syndrome occurring at end of dialysis
    • Occurs most commonly during initial dialysis or during hypercatabolic states
    • Large solute clearances -> cerebral edema

Clinical Features

  • N/V, HTN; can progress to seizure, coma, death
