Maintain Oxygenation
- Utilizing bag valve mask and 100% O2 for ventilation
- Request ALS and assess for signs of airway obstruction
- Open airway
- Apply nasal or oral airway if needed
Successful Oxygenation and Ventilation?
Yes
Continue with prior airway maneuvers
No
- Proceed to intubation (3 attempts max)
- Utilize Capnography after intubation
- Consider gastric tube placement
Continue to monitor
