History
The Department of Emergency Medicine has excellence at its very roots. They have set and exceeded national benchmarks for academic achievement within the specialty, for many years. Their department is guided by the imperatives to achieve professional excellence in clinical care, research, and education.
They uphold the highest standards of the practice of emergency medicine, and strive to disseminate new knowledge. The work of their faculty reaches far and wide, with international recognition for the scope and breadth of their emergency care research.
